THE WHY

Allergy sufferers are constantly surrounded by exaggerated complaints and everyday annoyances people jokingly refer to as “allergies.” Flonase needed a campaign that humorously separated minor life frustrations from the very real physical discomfort caused by actual allergies.

THE INSIGHT

People casually claim they’re “allergic” to all kinds of things: bad music, annoying coworkers, social media posts, awkward family members. But real allergy sufferers know there’s a huge difference between everyday annoyances and genuine allergic reactions.

THE IDEA

We created “Fake Allergies,” a humorous campaign platform contrasting relatable everyday frustrations with the real environmental triggers Flonase is actually designed to treat. By visually pairing fake “allergies” with legitimate allergens through a simple checklist system, the campaign delivered quick-hit humor while reinforcing Flonase’s effectiveness against real allergy symptoms. The tone embraced social relatability, internet humor, and light cultural observations to make the brand feel approachable, modern, and self-aware.
