THE WHY
Millions of people living with depression cycle through medication after medication without relief, often blaming themselves when treatment doesn’t work. At the time, Treatment-Resistant Depression was still largely unknown to the public. Most patients had never even heard the term, despite living with it every day. The challenge wasn’t simply awareness. It was helping people realize: It’s not you.
THE INSIGHT
People struggling with depression often feel trapped inside a closed loop of hopelessness. But learning there may be another explanation for what they’re experiencing can create a powerful emotional shift. A sense of possibility. Curiosity. Relief. Sometimes the first breakthrough is simply opening someone’s mind to the idea that another path may exist.
THE IDEA
We created OPEN YOUR MIND, an unbranded digital platform designed to reframe the conversation around Treatment-Resistant Depression through optimism, clarity, and emotional accessibility. Rather than using dark or clinical visual language typically associated with depression campaigns, we built an experience that felt vibrant, modern, hopeful, and human.
